Can my liver heal itself and go back tonormal and will side pains go away?

ive been taking 7vicodin evryday for 6months now and im not hooked just takin it for severe back pain...but now as of recent my side started hirting n i was afraid i may hav damaged my liver but blood tests urine tests and an ultrasound turned up nothing. but if my side hurts and im gettinba small bruise therw i kno i gotta b doing damage to my liver:( so my question is if i stop now do i stillhave a chance and will my liver heal itself?? anybody please shed some light on this if u can thank u
