My cat's back is twitching during her pregnancy why is this?

hi, my cat is heavily pregnant and her back keeps twitching and its making her jolt every time. i have also noticed that her belly has dropped quite a lot. could this be the start of the babies going towards the birthing c? and how long do you reckon it will be before i notice the labor proceedings? can someone help me with this question.....Thanks guys..........
