Should I get my belly on pierced?

I think belly on piercings are really cute, but I'm afraid of it getting infected and leaving a nasty scar or when I take it out how big is the hole gonna be by my belly on? I'm 14 and me and a couple of my friends were planning on getting it done this summer. Should I do it? Also does it hurt getting it pierced?
