Which is the matter Megapixel or Optical zoom ?

I want to buy a Nikon Super zoom Camera. But I am confusing between Coolpix L120 and P500. One is with 21x Optical Zoom / 14.1 Mega Pixel / 6400 maximum ISO and another one with 36x Optical Zoom / 12.1 Mega Pixel / 3200 Maximum ISO. Which will better for all purpose and to take some Artistic Photographs with affordable price. Plz suggest. Thank You.
